Opportunistic: Dancing On Ice and Loose Women star Denise Welch and a young friend decided to try their luck on the door at the Universal Brits afterparty at the Savoy, despite not being on the guest list
It was the hottest ticket in town - the Universal Records Brit Awards aftershow bash at London's newly-refurbished Savoy Hotel, where Cheryl Cole rubbed sequin shoulders with winners Rihanna,Take That and Tinie Tempah in five-star glamour on the banks of the Thames. 

So it was hardly surprising that lesser celebrities thought it was worth trying their luck and gatecrashing the star-studded bash at the legendary hotel.
Bouncers for the do on the Strand certainly had their work cut out - and managed to stop Dancing On Ice and Loose Women star Denise Welch entering the fray.

After losing almost a stone on Dancing On Ice, Denise Welch has celebrated by stripping into something a little more comfortable, and possibly on loan from Carol McGriffin, for this week's Closer magazine.

She's lost more than a stone since beginning training on Dancing On Ice - and now Denise Welch feelings so confident, she's baring her new-found curves by recreating famous scenes from movie The Graduate. 

The Loose Women panellist  has posed between the sheets with skating partner Matt Evers, 34, in this week's Woman's Own, and joked: 'It's cougar time!'

She added: 'I'm 52 and have had more attention in my fifties than in any other decade in my life.'

While snapping the scenes made famous in the 1967 movie starring Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft, Denise however said her husband Tim didn't have anything to worry about, saying: 'Matt's my fantasy man.'

The happily married Loose Women presenter appeared delighted when faced with her latest role - grappling with the naked chest of a hunky male dancer on stage .

Dressed in a black lace dress former Coronation Street actress Denise gave a sultry smile as she stroked his chest for the cameras.

The mother-of-two told the magazine: 'I feel more confident in myself at 51 than I did at 40. I've just finished Waterloo Road so I'm starting a new chapter in my life.
